At first glance it may look like HTC has decided to get a spring on the market by shipping the HTC Touch Viva with Windows Mobile 6.5.

The truth is a but more prosaic. The phone is in fact the Touch Viva Shanzhai Flagship, a pure clone that improved on the original by shipping with Windows Mobile 6.5 (presumably also a ripped XDA-Developer copy) and unlike the Android clones appear to feature the real Windows Mobile 6.5 deal.

The phone features a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 2.8-inch 240×320 display, WIFI,EDGE connectivity with large battery capacity with 10 days standby and Quadband GSM. At 1099 RMB ($162) it seems rather a good deal, and testimony to how much you save by not paying any license fees at all.

I wonder if the cloners thought of including a 3.5 mm headphone jack also…

This phone is based on the HUAWEI  HiSilicon K3 platform with a 460MHz processor.  According to ClonedinChina.com  HUAWEI began to seeding the clone phone market  with reference solution recently and the HiSilicon K3 platform has greatly lowered the  threshold for the clone phone manufacturers to make smartphones.
